We recommend qualified AC professionals to do the installation of your Mini Split. However, our units are easy to install.

These are the most challenging steps of the installation process:

1. 1. Opening the whole to run the refrigerant lines

   1. If drilling in concrete, you need a hammer drill and a masonry bit (1 5/8")

2. Running the copper lines

   1. You need to be careful the lines are not kinked. You will need copper tube bender

3. If not using our Quick Connect Units

   1. You will need a refrigerant vacuum pump and AC-refrigerant gauges

The good news is that, not much maintenance is required to keep you Mini Split Operational.

These are the things we recommend and the frequency:

1. Clean the filter

   1. Frequency: Monthly - in some places (low traffic areas) customers do not need to clean the filters in three months.

2. Clean the Drain Line

   1. Every six months. This is a very simple process that is accomplished by vacuuming the drain line from the outside

3. Clean the coil

   1. We recommend this to be performed yearly. However, in many cases owners do not clean their Min Split coil for years and it does not become a problem

   2. Depending on the space characteristics, for example, you would expect more dust and particulate be present in you garage vs your bedroom

The DC inverter technology in your mini-split converts the AC power supply into DC and then modulates it back to AC with variable frequency. This frequency determines the speed of the compressor motor, allowing the compressor to operate at various speeds to produce the precise amount of cooling or heating needed.

The mini-split heat pump operates by transferring heat rather than generating it, making it highly energy-efficient compared to traditional heating systems. In cooling mode, heat is absorbed from the indoor air by the refrigerant in the indoor unit, carried to the outdoor unit, and released outside. The cooled air is then circulated back into the room. In heating mode, the system reverses the cycle, extracting heat from the outdoor air (even in cold weather) and transferring it indoors. A reversing valve facilitates this switch between heating and cooling modes.

The indoor fan in your mini-split runs continuously to maintain even temperatures, enhance air quality, and improve energy efficiency. Operating at low power, it doesn't significantly impact energy costs or wear out the fan. Continuous operation is beneficial for the system's longevity and performance, as frequent starting and stopping can cause more wear on electrical components.

In Dry mode, the system prioritizes humidity reduction over temperature adjustment by setting the fan to a low, fixed speed. This deliberate airflow rate enhances moisture extraction from the air, optimizing dehumidification. The fan speed remains constant in this mode to prevent any disruption to the moisture removal process.
